PROCEDURE

The Plamere Plasma Skin Treatment is a non-invasive skin tightening and skin rejuvenating device used to reduce wrinkles, pigmentation, sagging fine skin and to successfully remove skin tags, moles and sun damage. 

Unlike laser and IPL machines the Plamere Plasma Pen Machine is safe to use around the eye area and all areas of face/neck/body.  This amazing treatment delivers great results without the need for surgery/stitches/scars and has a minimal down time and is cost effective.  Plamere Plasma is an Aesthetic Multi-Plasma solution that utilises plasma formed through ionisation of atmospheric gasses, to stimulate instant contraction and tightening of skin fibres.  This technology does not use scalpel or laser to remove excess skin thereby avoiding problems associated with traditional surgery methods.  Tiny micro wounds are formed on the skin leaving micro carbon dust which looks like a tiny crust in appearance, this is caused as the plasma energy hits the skins surface and shrinks the tissue to result in skin tightening.  At the end of the treatment you will have many tiny micro crusts (carbon dust) on your treated area, these will flake off naturally 5-10 days after treatment.

PRE TREATMENT CARE

• For the first 3 days after treatment you will have tiny carbon crusts and slight swelling of the area, most clients like to put off any social plans for one week after treatment.
• No mascara /make up to be worn to treatment please.
• Refrain from using alcohol, blood thinning medications for 24 hours prior to treatment.  (No medications should be stopped without consulting your doctor if under a specialist)
• If taking fish oil please refrain from taking this for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
• If having an upper lip treatment and have previously suffered from cold sores it is suggested to take a Lysine Tablet or anti-breakout medication for 1-2 weeks prior to treatment.
• No Panadol or Nurofen to be taken if possible for 12 hours prior to treatment.
• No direct sunlight exposure on area to be treated, for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
• Must not be on any retinoid medications for example roaccutane... if you have taken this in the recent past please inform therapist.
• No eyelash extensions to be worn and must be removed 6 weeks prior to upper or lower eyelid treatments.  
• No use of eyelash growth serums for 6 weeks prior to treatment and 6 weeks after if you want to continue use.
• No eczema, dermatitis or skin problems on area to be treated.

AFTER TREATMENT CARE

• Immediately after the treatment the area will be quite sensitive and will be for approximately 3 days, more so eye area treatments.  A cooling gel can be gently applied to the area and a cold pack.
• Do not expose the area to direct sunlight for 2 weeks and use a good sunscreen from 3 days after initial treatment.
• Refrain from exposure to wind, direct water flow, swimming in pools, ocean, sauna for 7 days.
• Refrain from excessive exercise which will cause excessive sweating for 7 days.
• Do not pick, scratch or continuously touch the treated area.
